Gift of the New Moon

I can smell the beach deep in the tanned skin of my shoulder,
which flew free in the sunny breeze all day.

Me and my two new best friends:

A triangle of underwater screams.
A chain of rotating chains.
Bowls of the living earth.

You might have seen us flying by, smiling,
with our new summer hair,
carrying home beans to eat and to wear.
